Charity Updates
Link Foundation:
The Pharmalink Maidenhead Charity Relay Marathon that we staged in Maidenhead on 8th June raised a whopping £11,000 for the Link Foundation and other nominated charities. This will now be an annual event and we hope to attract even more teams, and therefore sponsorship, for next year's race.
Whizz-Kidz:
We were really pleased to raise £2600 for Whizz-kidz via our three race QMR 10k/5k Race Series in May, June and July.
Thames Hospicecare:
We are very pleased to have been asked to work alongside another charity (as well as Whizz-Kidz) – Thames Hospicecare. They provide a service in East Berks and South Bucks to families affected by cancer and other life limiting illness. Chris lost his dad, aunt and two of his grandparents to cancer so it is a cause close to his heart. We are not exactly sure how the partnership will develop at his stage but initially we are helping them with their “Sunrise Walk” which takes place on October 5th. Further details of the walk can be found at:

This is definitely a walk (no running allowed) and it would be much appreciated if you could spread the word amongst your non-running friends and family to see if they would be interested in signing up for it. We will be there on the day and it would be great to see you and your families there too.
